Delicious food and atmosphere. We went with a massive group and had the restaurant to ourselves.

The spanakopita was crisp and delicious, and the chicken thighs were so tender that they fell off the bone by just looking at them. Each plate was accompanied by fresh salads, cheeses and breads. The chocolate cake was also divine.

However, the big surprise came at the end of the night when the owner came out to break plates and dance with our group. It was an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

This place surpassed my expectations!!! Wonderful food, the owner is so sweet!! He let me and my now husband smash plates when we came in so the photographer could capture some shots of us smashing plates since he normally does the plate smashing at the end of the evening. He got everybody dancing! Kept bringing out a ton of plates for us to smash! The food was so good, he gets fresh ingredients and makes everything from scratch the day of! When you walk in it feels like you’ve stepped into a restaurant in Santorini. He made this such a fun experience! So happy we decided to do this after our wedding!!!! We will for sure be back!

You are then swept away to a table and served flavored water and small bottles of wine that appear and taste homemade. Yum! You are then served 4 plates. First, we had salad and homemade bread with tzatziki, Then, Greek chicken and roasted potatoes, Second Entree was Lamb over stewed vegetables and then the final plate was the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten! We had great conversations with other attendees in between plates but once the plates arrived, everyone was gushing over their new plates. There is no menu here, it is a family style service of 4 different courses. Then you go downstairs and smash plates and dance like a dervish at a traditional Greek wedding! Amazing experience, culture, service and food!!! Hats off to Chef Michael…OPA!

Opa! Best dining experience hidden gem in Chattanooga. We have been here twice and brought our out of town guests. They were blown away. Amazing food. The owner is so fun and engaging. Smashing plates and dancing was just the icing on an already amazing evening. 10 stars!

No sixth star for Atmosphere, unfortunately. Michael clearly cooks with his soul. This is a pris fixe "menu", not cheap (see website), and worth it. You'll get whatever is coming out of the kitchen and you're going to like it. If you aren't open to eat chef's choice, this might not be your best bet. This is not just a meal, it is an experience. There is no table turning here. When you sit down you're the only ones at that table for the evening, so buckle up for a four dish adventure with as much wine, atmosphere and good company as you can take. It feels like the chef added a bit on to his home kitchen, put out some tables and invited his friends over. And you're lucky enough to be one of them.

My husband and I had a wonderful time here last night. We’d made a reservation but drove around 10 minutes trying to find a parking space as there was a festival going on downtown. We called the restaurant, worried we were going to have to cancel, but the owner came outside and spoke with the police officer directing traffic and got us a space right in front.
The atmosphere was relaxed and we were immediately sat and given wine and tea. The food was delicious and the wine kept coming. There’s no menu so be prepared to be wonderfully surprised!! Smashing the plates and dancing was the perfect way to end the night. We are looking forward to returning soon!!

We loved this restaurant! The owner was very friendly and took care of us well with delicious food and wine. This is not a typical Greek restaurant, it’s an experience of food, wine, music, dancing and fun. I’ve never had an experience like this at a restaurant. Make a reservation. The website clearly states it’s $95 a person, and has been that way for over five years. So don’t expect a quick, cheap Greek meal where you dine whenever you want. That’s not what this place is. We saw some people who did not read anything online, show up late, and then were infuriated they couldn’t be sat. This was worth the money we paid, and we could come back again!

Fantastic experience and great value! It's more than just dinner, it's an experience. It feels like going into someone's home and having them serve you dinner, which I loved. No, there's not a menu, but it's better that way! You get to try really excellent food that you wouldn't have tried otherwise. I loved it 10/10, consider me a customer for life. P.S. the owner, Michael is wonderful.

This was objectively one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in any city. The experience is so unique and the food is astounding. The owner is passionate about his food and guests experience. It was worth every single penny and more that we paid and I can’t wait to go back

This man (with one helper) prepared, served, cleaned, and was Host extraordinare! So glad we stumbled upon Opa! earlier in the day and made rez. Now I want to go to Greece even more than before! We were told by some regulars that he’s only open a few days a week, and only if the products and meats at the store look good. If not, he just doesn’t open. And, no menu. He cooks what’s available and looks good. Sign on door says “do you ask your grandma for a menu?” We had 4 amazing courses plus dessert. Now we need to walk the city again!!

First let me start by saying, do not wear open toe shoes here. I'll come back to that....
Want a fun, delicious, relaxing-paced dinner? This is your spot. There is no menu - u eat what is served. And let me tell you: yum-ola!! We started with Greek salad, a piece of spinach pie, tzatziki and pita. Good start - ingredients fresh, delish, portions plentiful. Next course was eggplant and lobster tail - hello!! Then a huge sampler plate - 1/person. Ours had pasticchio, chicken, potatoes, eggplant, beef, oh man.... It's enough for 2 people! Then we finished with chocolate cake...
And then we smashed about 100 plates and bowls on the cement floor!! So fun!!
This was a fab dining experience and the owner is just lovely. Check this place out for sure!!
